Officiating sure isn't easy nowadays, especially with many characters that we deal with each and every day... So www.ref-ump.com is solely intended to provide the facts, rules and laws of the games. A  notion that should be associated with a highly respected professional function. That being said we will address the largely overlooked common sense, multi capabilities of refereeing, officiating, and umpiring in a context that you could probably care little about. However, if you don't truly understand the rules and mechanics then I submit how can one be critical and pass judgement when all the facts are not known?  

We also be a proponent by calling out all the politicos a.k.a. administrators, assignors and board members at the national, state and local levels who bloviate and make our jobs more difficult each and every year. We are the lifeblood members who look to expose those black hat neocheaters who usurp our scant funds and fail the rank & file in order to gain political clout at the expense of its members. Sound familiar?

He is never at a loss to demand purr-fection on the field, also he concludes that we asofficials must have cat like vision and reflexes which are required to succeed at all levels. His mechanics are always spot on and I would challenge any one to out do Armani the Cat in the overall fundamentals, he is truly an American feline legend.

As witnessed here, the mental training and physical endurance is a hallmark of our profession. It's obviously tough but because the game requires proper game management to make it all happen. The net result is someone in authority has to, must have the balls to make the required calls, don't they? Thankfully it is that capability that Referees, Umpires and Assistants possess as officials that is what makes us great.

What is forthcoming will be rules, interpretations and proper mechanics  associated with all the major sports across the spectrum. Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Hockey, Track & Field, Golf, and lets not forget Curling from Canada EH! and many more will be presented not excluding Russian Grandmaster level Chess either.

Humor is a given, and so expect a few laughs and we will also provide a reminder, albeit a memory from the past of what sports officiating and the sport in general once represented...
